The 33rd Meeting of Regional Newspapers (EDR), held in Torres del Paine, brought together more than 50 media outlets from across the country, along with authorities and representatives from the business and social sectors.
The event, organized by the National Press Association (ANP), focused on freedom of expression, the sustainability of regional media, and the role of independent journalism in strengthening democracy.
The event was attended by Antoine Liane, general manager of the H2 Magallanes Project, and Salvador Harambour, executive director of the H2V Magallanes Trade Association, who participated in the discussions alongside representatives from the public and private sectors and the media.
The meeting highlighted the importance of the local press as an essential player in connecting the realities of the regions, highlighting their challenges, and strengthening a plural and transparent public conversation.
